Marine Homecoming

Through my volunteer work with the Yellow Ribbon Photographers, I was on hand to shoot a homecoming last week at Camp Pendleton.

This one really hit home, seeing all the last-minute anticipation and nervousness for the moment many families are reunited. No matter how many times you imagine the end of a deployment, there is nothing like the moment it happens. After months of waiting, everything seems to pass by in a blur. I was honored to be asked to capture these moments for this couple. Welcome home, 2/11 Marines.

Stopping to pick up his favorite burrito.

The waiting game.
